FAQ
Can I change my division?
Yes. But you can’t change from individual to team and vice versa.
More information on how to change your division: How do I change my division?
Can I change team members in the qualifier?
Yes.
You can switch team members up to the registration deadline. But the registration of a new team member must be ready before the registration deadline. Including signing the waiver, etc.
Obviously, all registered team members must also be the athletes who have completed all submitted workouts.
Can I get a refund?
Yes, you can get a refund of the net registration fee (and the included donation to the Battle Cancer Program).
To initiate the refund: send us an email at info@lowlandsthrowdown.nl.
The service costs charged by the payments processor and the competition platform are non-refundable.
The refundable amount is therefore lower.
Please see the Rulebook for more information on procedure and amounts: see articles 1.4 and 2.12/3.5
Can I redo/repeat a workout?
Yes, but read article 2.13 of the Rulebook carefully.
“Repeating the workouts is permitted, but all workouts need to be completed again and in the prescribed order. It is not allowed to redo one or two workouts solely.”
And: “Submitting results from different attempts is not permitted.”
Do I have to make a video of all my workouts?
That depends on the situation.
The Rulebook reads:
- 2.19 Requirement: qualifier video kept on file
All athletes who qualify for the following event(s) must have videos of all their qualifier workouts and have the videos kept on file. It is not mandatory to submit a video when a score is submitted but one or more videos can be requested by SLT.Failure to submit a video after it has been requested may result in penalties, invalidation of the score, etc.. Video retrieval can occur for a variety of reasons such as (but not limited to) checking scores, checking video standards, etc. It is up to SLT to determine whether, for which athletes/teams and/or for which cases/situations one or more videos will be requested.
If you think you can qualify, we recommend that you make videos of all workouts. Even if the chance is small, we recommend this. It’s unfortunate if you can’t provide the requested videos.
Do I need a judge?
Yes.
You need a judge to validate your score.
How do I prove that I did the workouts on the same calendar day and in the prescribed order?
To prove this, we ask you to film at least 5 seconds of the clock on our website (www.lowlandsthrowdown.nl) in your video.
For more information, see the video rules and regulations on the scorecards.
How do I register for the Benelux division?
The Benelux division is a subdivision. You register in the RX division and/or an Age Group division. There you can select the Benelux as your subdivision. But only the Benelux subdivision of the RX division can qualify for the final event. So if you want to try to qualify for the Benelux division on the final event, you should register in the RX division and select the Benelux as your subdivision.

How does the qualifier work?
The qualifier has a special format.
Athletes and teams must complete all workouts on the same calendar day and in the prescribed order.
The format provides an experience like having a day at a competition. You can experience in your own box what professional athletes experience at The Games, for example.
This format does not prevent a repetition of workouts.
When you repeat workouts, this applies to all workouts.
Only repeating 1 or 2 workouts is not allowed.
When you do a repeat, you do all the workouts again. In the prescribed order. On the same calendar day.
And there is no mix-and-match principle for the score submission.
If you have made multiple attempts, you can only submit the scores of 1 of those attempts.
It is not allowed to combine scores from different attempts.
Only scores that are part of one three-workouts attempt, performed in consecutive order (workout1, workout2, workout3) may be submitted online to the competition platform.

The Rx division is open to anyone to register. For athletes from Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands there is a special division that refers to the origin of the Lowlands Throwdown: the Benelux division.
The Benelux division is a subdivision of the RX division. For the final event, the RX division will be filled first. After that, the Benelux division will be filled with only Benelux athletes from the Rx division for the final.
More information about the Benelux division can be found in article 2.4 ‘Benelux subdivision’ and article 3.1 ‘Qualification by the online qualifier’ of the Rulebook.
Article 2.4 of the Rulebook states:

Athletes who live (official residents) in this region can participate in this subdivision. Errors in choosing the appropriate sub-division may result in the disqualification of an athlete. For any questions concerning sub-division selection, please contact info@lowlandsthrowdown.nl PRIOR to the registration deadline.
This sub-leaderboard is only made up with athletes from this sub-division and can therefore give a different result than the overall leaderboard for a division.”
Article 3.1 of the Rulebook states:
“3.1 Qualification by the online qualifier
…
The Benelux division is a subdivision of the RX division. Athletes are placed in the Benelux division after the RX division is filled in. An athlete from the Benelux region in a qualifying position for the RX division cannot qualify for the Benelux division.
